screaming going insane im begging you to talk more about house developing a pavlovian response to wilsons nagging. like you’re right.
like house is already not subtle about wilson (you can only joke about wanting to fuck a guy so much before people start thinking you actually wanna fuck the guy) (i am not convinced he was ever joking)
and house has sooo many issues, the most prevalent being ones that stem from his leg and resulting disability after a life of activity, BUT we also must consider also those that stem from his childhood..... when a parent treats you terribly even the most logic-minded and rational people will think they deserve it. and when that is normal for you, it's almost a comfort. especially if that's the only attention you're getting from them
now let's set that aside for a second. house has always thought of wilson positively from day one (finding him "interesting" which is like the normal person equivalent of saying love at first sight, in this case) and i am not alone in thinking that house is pining in some form. and he fucks. the wires get crossed. something in his brain goes from "no one can make him mad like i can :) " to "he's hot when he's negging me" to house beating it in the hospital showers
95% (why did the numbers get HUGE just then. like i'm making a point sure but goddamn 70 point font pop off) of the time house will walk away from an interaction with wilson feeling great, even if he just got lectured within an inch of his life. just look at how often he gets the Diagnosis Revelation just from bothering wilson for five minutes (and that being all of wilson's screentime in the ep)
they're sick. they're basically having sex every episode. there are cathedrals everywhere for those with the eyes to see

...Mechalor Anon, how dare you take my attempts to give them a vaguely implied happy ending and convince me (challenge level: super easy) to turn this into something Truly Horrific... ANYWAY!
Snowflake!Noir and Adeleine, aka...**** ****...
Adeleine, as always, takes up art. She's more unsure of herself, so she's been experimenting with different crafts, trying to find the one that fits...whoever she is now. Noir waits tables at Kawasaki's while learning how to cook from him. He's stuck with his collar but the encroachment seemingly stopped with 02's defeat so...that's good.
[This timeline MUST have a Happy Ending. See? They're even smiling!]
They have a home at Castle Dedede when they're not out...enjo... sorry ENJOYING!! Dream Land; the soft cuddle bear penguin king unable to NOT care about these two in every reality, apparently ^^
Overall, they're not fine. All that shock and trauma in rapid succession, followed by being in communion with a dark power, letting it gently infuse their souls for decades to help escape their awful waking life, only to be very psychically available as it was destroyed and then waking up in a perfectly ALIEN situation that only pushes the two of them closer together is totally not fine though!

:Adeleine gears up to pry at Noir's collar, trying to break or otherwise remove it from him. It still refuses to budge:
Adeleine: "...Nghhhhhhh!"
:Noir wryly shakes his head:
Noir: "Ready to call it quits?"
Adeleine: "...Noir, are you sure you didn't accidentally glue this thing to you and you've been too embarrassed to tell me the truth?"
Noir: "Says the girl who sewed the shirt she was wearing TO my apron when I asked you to fix the ties on it for me. I didn't know you hated being apart from me that much, Adeleine!"
Adeleine: "No~ir!!"
Noir: "Anyway, no, I didn't and that's two bucks you owe me."
Adeleine: "...I don't have any money. They don't even use it here. Why do you keep betting me? What would you buy, anyway?"
:Noir replies with mock seriousness:
Noir: "...Chiropractic work for all the neck damage you've given me trying this thing every single day."
:She pouts before finally letting a little laugh slip through:
"...Adeleine, listen, it's okay. You don't need to worry about me..."
Adeleine: "It's not okay though! Dark Matter's supposed to be all gone now. Everyone said so. So...why aren't you better, Noir...?"
:A faltering smile to match her growing sadness:
:Keep lying to your sister, boy. You're an expert by now:
Noir: "...I am better. We're both better. Right...?"
"I mean, isn't this place a lot better than home? You're out there painting and sculpting and sewing and building and who knows what else and I'm...making less guests sick at Kawasaki's every day!"
:He laughs a hollow laugh. She doesn't laugh with this time:
"...Just cause this stupid thing is still stuck to me doesn't actually MEAN anything. It's just a boring hunk of metal. Nothing more."
:It doesn't still whisper to him. A thousand lost souls crying out to be one again:
:She crawls into his lap:
Adeleine: "Still...I'm...scared, Noir. I'm scared for us. Nothing feels right anymore... What if, the next time I go to sleep...I wake up someplace new again? What if...it's someplace without you...?"
:He hugs her tight, their shivering bodies fitting together perfectly:
:Why do you shiver, children? It is not cold here. It is too warm:
Noir: "C'mon, snowflake girl. That's not gonna happen anymore. We've stuck together so far and we're going to keep sticking. Right?"
"...And anyway, today was a good day. You said it yourself."
Adeleine: "Yeah..."
Noir: "We just have to keep having good days. Don't let the little things get to us. We've still got each other. ...We can do this..."
:Back to sleep. In sleep, we are safe. Only in sleep. Though... ...They ask us to wake up here They worry when we do not wake up:

Meta: "...Your majesty."
Dedede: "Whaa?! It's not what it looks like!!"
Meta: "I have no idea what you're implying."
Dedede: "So, uh, what brings ya here, Meta Knight?"
Meta: "The same reason as you, I would suspect. To check on the status of our guests from Shiver Star. How are they?"
:Dedede points inside, where the two siblings sleep cradled in each other's arms, akin to how they were found. Though, it's a little uncanny to see them continue to sleep that way:
Dedede: "See for yourself. Sleepin' peacefully. At least, I hope so..."
:A bit of worry makes its way onto his face:
"...Adeleine's right, Meta. We beat Dark Matter. Twice. Hell, maybe more! Sure, we've had a host of problems since then but Noir's..."
Meta: "Do you believe that, my liege? That we have defeated it?"
Dedede: "What do you mean by that?"
Meta: "...When you look at those siblings, what do you see?"
:Dedede looks back inside the room:
Dedede: "I see two kids. Quiet. Respectful. Scared of trouble but they don't cause any. They mostly stick to each other but I seem 'em out there slowly trying to make friends with the others..."
Meta: "...You are a good man, my liege."
:Dedede balks and puffs up his chest:
Dedede: "That's 'Great' and get it right!"
Meta: "......Then I take it back."
Dedede: "Hey!"
:Meta fixes him with a fierce, burning gaze:
Meta: "Look at them again, sire. Not with your eyes."
Dedede: "......"
:Dedede can see it, their matter is locked in a twisted spiral, Soul and Dark feeding each other, tightly intertwined, and growing still:
Meta: "Do you see it?"
Dedede: "...No. I don't see nuthin'."
:Dedede turns away:
"And before you ask me to look again, I don't WANT to see it. They're just two kids, Meta! Just two small kids! They haven't hurt nobody!"
Meta: "...In the beginning, it was just the boy. He was sick with Dark Matter. I didn't know how he was still alive. He could have easily been a threat to the kingdom and not just because of that sword."
:Meta shuts his eyes, regretting his lapse:
"I...had hoped the presence of his sister could alleviate that some. But Dark Matter is not so easily tamed. It has grown fast, feeding off the two of them. It is already more than twice what a normal member of their species should be able to handle without being consumed."
Dedede: "...Right. That doesn't sound good. How do we stop it?"
:He sees Meta Knight's expression and rephrases:
"...How do we save 'em, Meta?"
Meta: "I believe, my liege..."
:His lowered eyes go to Galaxia's handle:
"...the answer will depend on your definition of 'save'..."
...
Meta Knight's words hung heavy on him.
King Dedede shut his eyes and decided to continue along as if it was nothing. Just...keep making the place as comfortable for the two as he could. Maybe the knight was wrong? Maybe it wasn't too late?
It wasn't long after that. The trigger was something forgettably small, as simple as a thoughtless suggestion or an accident; one of them gets hurt, bleeds a little, maybe. It only needs to be one of them, so inextricably are they linked that the resonance of the other's echoed pain races across Popstar like a sonic boom. Dark clouds swirl in, covering the whole planet, blocking out the star's brilliant light.
King Dedede rushes out. He doesn't want to know-without-question what is the cause this time. He wants it to be something unknown. A new invader; not his familiar tormentor, the foe he knows so well.
But he knows exactly what it is because he is already mouthing the words to a waiting Meta Knight. "The kids! Where are they...?!"
"Look up..."
It is a cruel joke to him. Always, Dark Matter had a way of getting inside him. But every time, it had been his body. Never had it succeeded at invading his heart.
He wishes this one would take his body.
...Take me instead...
But the two violet eyes are not looking at him. They arc laterally with rapid movements, back and forth, back and forth, stretching to the edge of their vision, looking for their other half they know to be there, felt through the comforting grip of tightly twined fingers and hinted at in the reflection of wings like the points of a snowflake...

What are your three favorite family recipes?
Oh man, okay so this has been in my inbox for AGES (I'm so sorry!!) because I was like damn, this is such a cool ask, but honestly I wouldn't say my family has any 'family recipes' so to speak, at least not anything that I'm aware of as something that's been passed down, y'know? I think this is mostly because my mum is a fantastic cook, and generally found/came up with her own recipes rather than doing anything my gran taught her haha. I learnt pretty much everything about how I cook from her, which is what I would describe as 'a vibes-based approach', where rather than precise measurements, she'll say 'oh a bit of that, a bit of this', and also ignore half of what the recipe says and do her own thing. She makes roux sauce without measuring anything and by pouring all the liquid in at once, and just whisking it like a mad thing to get rid of the lumps hahaha
So then, following on from that, I figured actually whilst I don't really have any passed-down family recipes (other than like, my mum's amazing quiche, which I do not know how to make myself rip), I do have recipes that I've made up, based on other recipes! So I'll quickly tell you about those!
Courgette Pesto Pasta Ingredients:
Pasta (I use 50g of penne per person)
1 onion (or half if you're only cooking for one person)
Mushrooms (like. a bunch. follow your heart)
Courgette
Bacon (2 slices per person)
Pesto
Lemon Juice
Butter
So you'll need to chop up everything before hand (or, if you're like me, time it with how long it takes the kettle to boil, but I have a gas kettle that takes 5-10mins to boil, and also screams at me). So: chopped onions, sliced mushrooms, sliced courgette, and cut the bacon into little squares. Then - kettle boils and pasta goes on. By the time you're done with cooking everything, the pasta should be about ready.
Put the courgette in a small pan, and add a lump of butter, some lemon juice and a bit of some of the boiled water left over from the kettle. The aim of the game here is that the water/lemon juice is gonna boil off and leave the butter behind to fry the courgette a little before adding it in with everything else, so only have enough liquid that it doesn't quite cover the top layer of courgette. Then whack that on the heat. Grab a wok, throw some oil in and start frying the onions. After a few, throw in the mushrooms. Then, add the bacon. I personally like my wok-fried food a little seared, so when it's getting crispy, the courgette will hopefully be beginning to fry in the other pan. At this point, I usually tip the courgette AND whatever liquid is left in that pan into the wok, and start frying it all together. By now, it should have been about five or ten minutes, so test the pasta, see if it's cooked. When it's ready, drain the pasta, turn the heat down on the wok and then add the pasta. Then mix in a healthy teaspoonful of pesto for as many people as you're making it for, and that's it!
Potential variations:
So my mum makes this one differently - no lemon juice, no courgette, no pesto. Instead, she cuts up a red bell pepper and adds that into the wok after the bacon, and adds in a ton of Philadelphia cream cheese for the sauce. It tastes incredible haha. I've also made a variation on this where it's the same as my mum's version, but I add in a couple of teaspoons of sun-dried tomato pesto as well, which was glorious. And then the other day I made up a new variation, which takes my version of the recipe as outlined above, but uses grilled vegetable pesto instead of normal pesto - and then, before serving, beat one egg per person in a mug, and pour that into the wok and stir it in throughout. That was AMAZING
Quail Egg Carbonara Ingredients:
Quail eggs (5 per person)
Pasta again
Single cream
Butter
Parmesan cheese (1 hearty tablespoon per person)
Mushrooms
Bacon (again, two slices each)
Okay so you don't have to use quail eggs. However, I get quail eggs for free from work because we have like, six or seven quails HAHAH so we get a ton of eggs and most of my co-workers don't eat them so I make the most of it. This recipe is based on a recipe from a cook book that I have, but the proportions are kinda whack, so I riffed off it, and I use quail eggs because the yolk to egg white ratio works out better, I think? However, you can absolutely try and use a chicken egg - my mum tried this the other day and just used one chicken egg per person, and she said it was fine, just a lot more liquid than my version haha.
Anyway. This one is so simple. Make the sauce first: beat all the eggs together in a large bowl, then add a lump of butter and the single cream (I'm so sorry. It's like - okay, last time I made it, I wanna say I used about 100ml cream to cook for three people, and a healthy sized lump of butter. But it's a vibes based approach. Follow your heart) and then 1 hearty tablespoon of parmesan cheese per person. Yes, it's a lot. That's because this recipe is good for the soul. Anyway - important note, do NOT MIX the ingredients together. Just throw them into the bowl and let it stand. Put the pasta on to cook, and then fry the bacon in a frying pan (oh, the bacon and the mushrooms should be chopped). After the bacon is getting on, add the mushrooms. Again, we love these slightly seared. THEN. When the pasta is cooked - do NOT turn off the heat, but turn it down, and then drain the pasta and return it to the pan. Add the mushrooms, bacon and pan juices into the pan with the pasta, put it back on the low heat, and then pour everything in that bowl into the pan and mix it together. The og recipe was like 'turn the heat off, the heat of the pasta will cook the eggs!!' but I don't trust that lol so I do keep it on the low heat as I stir it for about a minute or so, and then I take it off the heat and serve it immediately. With more parmesan on top, of course.
The other three main things that I cook that are actually pretty decent/interesting come from some recipe books that I have, but they are: Sausage and Bacon Casserole, Chicken in Cider (this one is AMAZING and also so easy but looks very impressive haha), and Pork in Apple Gravy (also amazing, but less simple - you kinda make a roux sauce but use apple juice rather than milk!). I also like a lot of vegetarian food, so my mum and I work together to make a really lovely nut roast from an old recipe book, and also stir fry with cashew nuts fried in soy sauce, and I'm actually hoping to try and make a vegan version of that first recipe with pine nuts and cashews rather than bacon for my vegan friend who makes her own pesto at some point!
Anyway!! Hope the person who originally asked me this sees this lol, and if not I hope it's interesting for other people! I'm always interested in new recipes that don't involve spices because I'm very weak when it comes to heat in food (like......peppery sauces taste spicy to me RIP) so if anyone has any recommendations, send them my way!

HELLO SKY I HAVE A QUESTION! For context when I finally leave genshin I feed my whole team their favorite food for a good job, like I give venti an apple (or cider if he did some good crits), jean some pizza and Bennett meat. But like I have no idea what to give scara. I asked my friends and they also don't know😭 maybe you have some idea.

Well from what I know about Scara, he hates sweet stuff and is really partial to bitter stuff, but has also stated that he's not picky
So things I'd avoid off the bat would definitely be fruit and anything particularly sweet, anything cream based, and meat wise probably shrimp since that's kinda sweet
I think really the best food would probably just be his specialty dish Shimi Chazuke, or even its base Unagi Chazuke, but that could get annoying real quick if you don't have a godly pile of Unagi on hand, so if you still want to use an Unagi dish that's a bit more manageable than it would be Grilled Unagi Fillet
Now you could focus on simple Inazuma dishes like Onigiri and Miso soup, since that's where he's from he would probably be most used to them
I'm not sure of his current relationship with lavender melon, but some dishs that use that would be Konda Cuisine (strong choice cause it includes snapdragon, which I'll expand on in a minute), Rice Cake Soup, and Five Pickled Treasures (also a strong ones cause pickling usually produces a sour/bitterish taste)
Now on the snapdragon thing, I know irl snapdragon blooms are edible and described as an acquired taste cause of their tart and bitter flavor, meaning, assuming that's true there too, a pretty good option might be Jewelry Soup, Vegetarian Abalone, or Sangayaki, along with the above stated Konda Cuisine
Keeping the topic of flowers, it's more common for them to be bitter over any other flavor, and Calla Lily's are described in-game as sweet and bitter (one of the few things actually described as bitter), making Calla Lilly Seafood Soup a possible contender
Now if you wanna stray farther from Inazuma based dishs cause unpleasant memories, but want to go that route of flowers with a Sumeru dish (since he seems to generally like the area from what I've seen), Lambad Fish Roll is definitely the way to go
It's too bad they don't have any coffee based dishs cause that could be really spot on, just a cup of black coffee would be perfect for him
It'll be up to you to pick between all the ones I've listed based on your resources, and I'm pretty sure I don't have every recipe so there might be a perfect option I don't know of, but yeah general guidelines are bitter = good, sweet = absolutely not

Cheesecake, I think. I've tried a lot of very good cheesecake before, but no one makes it like my mum does. When I was a kid and she asked me what kind of cake I wanted, I always chose that lol.

Why, of course I can! I'd be happy to!
Now I'm not sure if this is how it's done traditionally, but this is how I make it & I'm very happy with it every time.
-Ingredients & Stuff You're Gonna Need-*
1lb ground beef
4-5 good-sized russet potatoes
2 carrots, peeled & diced
1 ear of corn, cooked & shucked
1/2 of a white onion, diced
1-2 garlic cloves, minced
a handful of portabella mushrooms, sliced
1-2 celery stalks, sliced
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1-2 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter
3/4 cup milk (more or less may be needed)
fresh parsley leaves (for garnish)
one 8" round cake pan
strainer/colander
*feel free to modify the ingredients however you like! I usually just add whatever's available in the fridge!
-Instructions-
*I do recommend doing the steps below the potatoes as they are cooking, as it can take a while!
-Preheat the oven to 350F
-I usually start with the potatoes, since they take the longest to prep. Set a medium pot of water to boil on the stovetop. While you're waiting, peel, dice (not super tiny, just around a 1" piece is good), & pat the potatoes dry. Once the water is boiling, carefully put your diced potato pieces into the water & wait until they are soft enough to poke a fork through with little resistance. (If a starchy-foam starts to collect at the top of the pot, carefully use a spoon or ladle to spoon it out into the sink). Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them in the strainer or colander & put the cooked potatoes in a bowl. Combine with butter & milk (adding 1/4 cup at a time, you can always add more!) & mash until they reach a consistency you're happy with. Season with salt & pepper!
-Cook your ground beef on the stovetop until it is all cooked through, not leaving any pink spots. Carefully drain the grease from the pan & return the meat to the stovetop, though you don't need to keep it heated, as it will be heated once it goes into the oven. Season the meat with salt, pepper, garlic powder & onion powder, mixing it around to coat as much as you can. Set off to the side.
-Dice, slice & chop your veggies as directed, & throw them in a pot or pan with the olive oil to sauté. (you can add a bit of seasoning to them too, if you'd like!)
-Once the veggies are sautéed, add them to the cooked beef & stir it around, just to mix everything together nicely.
-Spoon your veggie-beef mixture into your cake pan, filling it up nearly to the top, maybe leaving about an 1/8" or so (you can just eyeball it though, that's what I usually do).
-Gently spoon your mashed potatoes on top, covering the entire surface of the filling evenly, & feel free to add as many layers as you like! I like to cover mine as if I were frosting a cake.

Different anon, I don't think the western church is in charge of the holy sites in the kingdom. i recall the holy sites are under the central church but it's in a nobles territory (not WC territory!) so anyone who wants to visit those sites would have to deal with that noble. the WC tried to claim/occupy the holy site where Cichol and Cethleans sacred weapons were held though (with violence) which forced the Central church to intervene.
Tbh I don't mind that the WC mainly wants to kill Rhea over differences in beliefs/practices (their intolerance vs Rheas tolerance) because we got ppl IRL being like that. even if it sounds dumb to us its pretty realistic. Adding more reasons for their behavior would be nice for lore though.
We know the Agarthans played a part in influencing them but I think they mainly weaponized the WCs xenophobia similar to how Cleobulus/Cornelia weaponizes Dimitri's step mothers desperate desire to see her daughter. I mean If there's a weakness that's already there then why not exploit it ?
Oh yeah, I know about the sites, I was trying to think of another reason why the WC would diss and/or hate the CC for something else than their xenophobia lol
I know it's dumb and we sadly have a lot of real life examples, but it's the traditional honeypotting situation, when there's a doubt or possible empty area in the lore/worldbuilding, the fan explanation is always more interesting than the more or less canon one lol
But it raises another set of issues, if the kingdom noble wants to, idk, raze Lake Teutates to make a giant golf course, what can the CoS do ? If the Kingdom wants to make Rhodos' coast a giant resort and sort of get rid of the weird monument there?
It's kind of odd how Rhea and the CC didn't push harder to gain some sort of "right" to administrate those sites, if Seteth went to rekt people during his paralogue for trying to steal and seize his wife's tomb, it's because those people were randos from the WC. But if they were mere Kingdom randoms?
And it makes the Adrestian NPC's comment (the one about wanting to seize the weapons the saints used bcs they feel like they belong to them) even more, uh, interesting in this context, the Kingdom could have stolen Cichol and Cethleann's weapons if they pillaged a tomb, but they didn't. The legend about the giant turtle handing a shiny bow? It's a mere legend, we don't have, say, Rodrigue, going to investigate this rumour to gather more weapons that could be "useful".
So even without taking into account Dimitri himself (as in, the only Lord who doesn't want to terminate Rhea for the lols or bcs pointy ears, except for that blunder in Zahras), Faerghus seems to be the closest "ally" the CoS has, even if being "allies" only means, before the events of the games, not pillaging their treasures and letting members of the Church visit places.
I can only imagine how the members of the WC would have reacted if Rhea was revealed not to be a human - since everyone worships angels but the second one pops up in front of them they pick their spears in this verse, Rhea turning into the IO would be warrant a death sentence from the members of the WC?
We will never know lol

OF COURSE YOU CAN SEE IT
Ingredients:
1 medium onion (chopped)
1 can (4 oz/~113 g chopped) mushroom
2 tbsp (~30 g) butter
3 c (600 g) water
2 c (400 g) chicken broth
3/4 c (6 oz/~170 g) wild rice
2 c (400 g) cooked turkey
1 c (200 g) heavy cream
salt/pepper/parsley to taste
Directions:
In a saucepan, sauté onion and mushroom in butter until onion is clear. Add in water, broth, and rice with seasoning; bring to a boil. Reduce and simmer for 20-25 minutes until rice is tender. Stir in turkey and heavy cream until heated. Add your spices whenever (but I do it last!)
i've made it once before and i think it lends itself well to additions like potatoes, or chicken instead of turkey. my family does turkey during the holidays so it's perfect for anything leftover!
but you gotta get something to dip in the soup too (ty ghost for always telling me that). i suggest bread (as usual) <3

Do you have a recipe/link for those goat cheese honey thyme bites??? I'm deeply intrigued!
Yes!! This is the recipe I usually use. It's like four ingredients and comes together super fast! A couple of quick notes:
The recipe calls for puff pastry, but this is hard to find in some grocery stores and puffs up a lot, so I sometimes substitute croissant dough. It doesn't puff up as much and ends up with more of a cookie shape, but it's still very good.
If you're using puff pastry, be liberal with the thumb pressure, or it might puff up so much that the little blob of goat cheese falls off of the pastry entirely lol
If you don't have a cookie cutter that's the right size, a well-sized lid also works!
The honey does get a little sticky. This isn't always a problem for transporting them (I just cover my container with saran wrap or a lid) but if it bothers you, you can always bring the honey with you and drizzle once you get there.
